Every Gift Keeps a Rider in the Saddle

Donate & Support Therapeutic Riding

Thank you. With your help, CMSR can continue to provide affordable, accessible therapeutic riding to every child and adult with a disability in our county — at no charge to any child, powered entirely by volunteers.

Your support turns arena afternoons into milestones: first steps, first words, first proud smiles.

Ways to Give

Send a Donation

Checks payable to Christine Marie's STAR Riders can be mailed to our main office:

2115 N. Fremont St
Monterey, CA 93940

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Give for the Horses

Our therapy horses are the heart of the program. Feed, farrier care, tack, and veterinary visits are our biggest ongoing expenses — gifts of supplies or feed store gift cards go straight to the barn.

Business & Club Sponsorship

Service clubs, businesses, and foundations across Monterey County have sustained this program for decades — from Kiwanis Monterey to the Community Foundation for Monterey County. We'd love to welcome your organization.

Where Your Gift Goes

STAR Riders is an all-volunteer organization: board directors act as “staff,” and more than 200 volunteers do the horse care, facility maintenance, instruction, community outreach, and grant writing. That means donations go where they matter — horses, equipment, insurance, and the arena — not overhead.

The results speak for themselves, in the words of our families: “Three years ago I would never have imagined Ellie would be where she is now.” Read more in our rider stories.

In-Kind Gifts & the Fundraiser Raffle

Local businesses and families have supported the program with everything from feed deliveries to in-kind gifts for our annual community fundraiser, where the raffle table helps cover arena costs and insurance. One of the most requested pieces in recent years has been a Patek Philippe Nautilus replica, presented by a local collector who wears the real thing and is happy to point friends to the models.

Curious what all the fuss is about? the Nautilus replica collection keeps a careful catalog of the references and styles. And if your club or organization would like to donate a piece to next year's table, the team at Patek Philippe Replica is quick to answer questions about which models make sense for a raffle.
